| In January 2009, the Foundation held a pick-a-prize raffle at the BankAtlantic Center, with packages valued at a total of nearly $6,500. All prizes were donated, and all proceeds benefitted the Aging & Disability Resource Center of Broward County, and Family Central, Inc. |

| Beatles Tribute Concert |
| The Foundation hosted a benefit concert in January 2009 at the Sunrise Civic Center Theatre. The standing-room-only crowd was treated to a performance by The Beatles Remembered – a tribute band that looks and sounds just like the Fab Four. |

Grant Awards |
In April 2009, the Foundation’s Board of Directors met to discuss 41 applications for funding. A total of $140,000 was allocated to local not-for-profit agencies, including Daily Bread Food Bank, Kids in Distress, Coalition to End Homelessness, ARC Broward, and Senior Volunteer Services. |

Holiday Bowl |
In December 2009, Strikers Family Sports Center hosted a Foundation fundraiser attended by City of Sunrise staff. The best team won bragging rights – and the gutterball champ walked away with a trophy. |
